To join Mystery Guild Book Club, simply pick your 5 introductory books at the club's website, then fill in your billing and shipping information and confirm your order. That's it. As a member you will receive the free catalog up to 19 times a year (about every three weeks). Each issue reviews the Featured Selections – books chosen by the club's editors as the must-reads of the moment – plus dozens of other books at savings up to 40% off publishers' prices. The catalog can be delivered to you in traditional paper format by postal mail, or you can opt to receive the electronic version via e-mail – look for Communication Preference tab at the signup.

To get the Featured Selection, don't do anything; it will be sent automatically unless you decline it by the designated date. The easiest way to do so -- or order a different book -- is through your account on the Club website. Alternatively, you can contact MGBC via phone or return your Reply Card via regular mail by the deadline date shown. You’ll always have at least 10 days to decide. A shipping and processing charge (and sales tax, if applicable) is added to each order.

After the initial order of 5 books for 99¢, you will have the obligation to buy 4 more books at Mystery's regular prices and you can take up to one year to fulfill it. Note that Mystery Guild offers you an opportunity to make your first Club purchase at the enrollment for just $4.99 and reduce your commitment to 3 books right away.

Once your commitment is taken care of, you are free to cancel your membership at any time
