How It Works
Becoming a Member
To join Literary Guild Book Club, simply choose your introductory books at the club web site and fill in the required personal information. No credit card is necessary: you can opt to be billed later. Club members receive a free catalog up to 19 times a year (about every three weeks). Each issue of the magazine presents two Main Selections – books chosen by TLG's editors as the hottest reads of the moment – plus over 180 other books at minimum 50% discount on retail prices.
Main Selections will be shipped to you automatically, unless you cancel or order other books instead. You can do so online – through your account on the club web site – or by returning the Member Reply Form via regular mail. You will always have at least 10 days to respond.
Your Commitment
After the inaugural order of 5 books for 99¢, you will be required to buy 4 more books at TLG's discounted prices and you can take up to 2 years to fulfill the obligation.
Canceling
Once your commitment is taken care of, you are free to cancel your membership, which can easily be done by sending an e-mail to the club's customer service. Of course, you will always be welcome to re-join if you wish to buy more books at a later date.
