The Good Cook: How It Works
Becoming a Member
To join The Good Cook Book Club, simply choose your introductory books at the club web site and fill in the required personal information. No credit card is necessary: you can opt to be billed later. Club members receive a free catalog up to 19 times a year (about every three weeks). Each issue of the catalog reviews a Main Selection – book chosen by TGC's editors as the hottest read of the moment – plus over 100 other books at up to 30% discount on retail prices (or more, with special offers and sales).
The Main Selection will be shipped to you automatically, unless you cancel or order some other book instead. You can do so online – through your account on the club web site – or by returning the Member Reply Form via regular mail. You will always have at least 10 days to respond.
Your Commitment
After the inaugural order of 4 books for $4, you will be required to buy 2 more books at the club's discounted prices and you can take one whole year to fulfill the obligation.
Canceling
Once your commitment is taken care of, you are free to cancel your membership, which can easily be done by sending an e-mail to Good Cook's customer service. Of course, you will always be welcome to re-join if you wish to buy more books at a later date.
