Book-of-the-Month: How It Works

Becoming a Member

To join Book-of-the-Month Club, just select your 5 introductory titles at the club web site and fill in the necessary personal information. You don't even need a credit card if you opt to be billed later. As a member you will receive the free reader's guide, Book-of-the-Month Club News, up to 19 times a year (about every three weeks). Each issue reviews one or more Featured Selections – books chosen by BOMC editors as the must-reads of the moment – plus up to 325 other books to consider.

Featured Selections will be shipped to you automatically, unless you cancel or order other book(s) instead. You can do so online – through your account on the club web site – or by returning the Reply Card enclosed with the catalog. You will always have at least 10 days to respond.

Your Commitment

After the initial order of 5 books for $1, you will have the obligation to buy 4 more books at BOMC's discounted club prices and you can take up to 2 years to fulfill it.

Canceling

Once your commitment is taken care of, you are free to cancel your membership, which can easily be done by sending an e-mail to Book-of-the-Month's customer service. Of course, you will always be welcome to re-join if you wish to buy more books at a later date.
